She especially wants to encourage others
to find their own niche in life and
follow their dreams. Nicknamed "Betty Lou" at birth, she recently adopted her given name of Elizabeth in order to make her own
path.

Elizabeth's career path has been varied and taken
many exciting turns.
As a Georgia Certified Nurseryman and Indiana Master Gardener, her passion for gardening served her well
in years of garden center management. She has also served as a museum curator, on many community development initiatives and recently retired after 9 years as Executive
Director of the New Castle-Henry County (Indiana) Chamber of Commerce. Elizabeth
has written a variety of articles
from historical perspectives to
garden columns to business and marketing techniques.
In
addition to gardening, hobbies
include kayaking (she has this thing about swamps, marshlands and the BWCA), photography, reading and her beloved horses. While definitely not an "athlete", she completed her
8th Indianapolis 500 Mini-Marathon
in 2009 - yes you can do this at home!! Note:
Walk, not run!! Take the time to enjoy the journey: The Way is not only to the swift!!!
